With this page, I attempted to be less of a baby about backgrounds and just tackle them once and for all. They definately get better from here, wonderful though they are now.
This is also the point where my inking gets much stronger.

WOOHOO! I love these first pages! I agree about the toning- I kind of screwed myself at the beginning and used a bunch of different tones. It only takes me.. 2-3 hours a page to tone, but it’s still a TON more than if I just used one.
Your panel layouts and dialogue is great, BUT STOP BEING A PUSSY ABOUT BACKGROUNDS. :P They suck at first, but once you get used to drawing them, you get better and enjoy it much more!
