Also, “oi?” Is Roger of British extraction? Or am I reading too much into that?
Roger is not at all British. His speech is affected by my own quirks, though that’s probably a bad thing for me as a writer.
I’m Texan, bu my husband is British and shouts “OI!” a lot, particularly at our cat, and I very quickly picked that up. So shouting “oi!” at things is very natural to me. I can probably just justify it by saying Roger picked it up from someone!
Shouldn’t the second panel read “Don’t you smuggle *things* into jail in cakes?” ? Your comic totally rules, thanks for the all updates!
