Updates when possible!

Love Me Nice is a long-form comic taking place in a world where Toons and humans co-exist. The comic portrays life behind the scenes of a popular children’s cartoon for it’s star, Mac T. Monkey Jr., who is begrudgingly filling his famous father’s shoes, his family, his overclocked manager and girlfriend, Claire, and his new fish-out-of-water co-star, Carolina.

the artist

Amanda Lafrenais is native to Texas, born in Humble and currently living in Clute — home to the Mosquito Festival. Yes. She hopes to escape this dull town someday, but until then has made herself a comfy existence in a little apartment with her fellow-comicker-husband and the dopiest cat in the world who isn’t good for much, let alone comics.

The artist has contributed work to Slipshine, a subscription-only collection of erotic comics. You can find her contribution in the Artist Showcase. She will also be contributing to “Smut Peddler,” a published anthology of quality erotic comics being organized by Spike of Templar, Arizona fame, all created by female artists and writers.

supplies and drawing

Love Me Nice is drawn on 9″x12″ smooth bristol board using a mechanical pencil soft blue Uni-ball lead, and is inked with a Pentel Cartridge Brush. Corrections are usually done with a Uni-ball Signo white gel pen. If interested, these pens/brushes can purchased at Jetpens. All final editing is done in Photoshop using a Wacom Bamboo.
